1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading, or using LynkIt (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Accounts and Security

  • Registration: To access features like credit management and cross-device sync, you must register using a valid Apple or Google account.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your device or account credentials.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the refund policies of app stores.

3. Credits and Payments

  • Virtual Currency: Credits are a virtual currency used solely within the App to perform actions such as Scanning and Enrichment. Credits have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Purchases: Credits are purchased via In-App Purchases (IAP) processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
  • Refunds: All sales are final. Because transactions are processed by third-party app stores, we cannot directly issue refunds. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
  • Expiration: Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active. However, if you delete your account, all remaining credits are forfeited.

4. User Data & Storage (Crucial)

Local-First Architecture: You acknowledge that LynkIt operates on a "Local-First" basis. Your Contact Data (scanned images, text, notes) is stored locally on your device. We do not store copies of your business cards on our servers.

Data Loss: If you uninstall the App, damage your device, or lose access to it without enabling cloud backups (iCloud or Google Drive), your Contact Data will be permanently lost. LynkIt cannot recover this data for you.

Sync: Only your "Account Profile" and "Credit Balance" are synced via our servers.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Scan documents or business cards containing illegal content or sensitive personal data without consent.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the App or exploit the credit system.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYNKIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA (CONTACTS/IMAGES) OR LOSS OF CREDITS DUE TO ACCOUNT SECURITY FAILURES ON YOUR PART.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or our website. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
